Where is White Beach?

White Beach sits on the western side of Puerto Galera, in Barangay San Isidro, Oriental Mindoro. It’s a separate cove from Sabang (the diving-and-nightlife hub to the east) and from the town centre at Muelle — think of Puerto Galera as a string of beaches, and White Beach as the big, buzzing one.

How to get to White Beach

From Manila, the usual route is a bus to the Batangas Grand Terminal, a short ride to Batangas Pier, then a passenger ferry across to Puerto Galera. Boats dock at the Balatero port; from there it’s a quick tuk-tuk or habal-habal (motorbike) hop over to White Beach in San Isidro. Puerto Galera doesn’t run the jeepneys and tricycles you’ll see elsewhere in the Philippines — tuk-tuks and motorbikes are how everyone gets around.

The beachfront is stacked with operators offering banana-boat rides, jet skis, kayaks, paddle boards and parasailing. Rates are usually per ride or per hour — agree on the price and duration before you hop on.

Island hopping

White Beach is a natural launch point for island-hopping trips around Muelle Bay — the Coral Gardens, the Underwater Cave, the Sandbar and quiet pocket beaches like Haligi. Boatmen sell set circuits; you can also charter a bangka for a custom route.

Best time to visit

The dry, calmer months (roughly December to May) are peak season, with the busiest, liveliest crowds around Holy Week and the year-end holidays.
