Reserved for sellers who are genuinely known in the Puerto Galera community for fair deals — a clean track record with no history of scamming anyone, and a strong reputation among neighbours. It is never for sale and can’t be requested: GaleraHub grants it by hand, and removes it the moment that trust is broken.

What it means

The seller completed identity verification, so buyers know a real, accountable person is behind the listing.

How it is earned

Upload a valid government ID and a selfie from your seller dashboard. Once approved, the badge appears on your profile and every listing.

Address verifiedLocation confirmed

What it means

GaleraHub confirmed the seller’s business or property address, so buyers know where they are dealing with.

How it is earned

Confirmed by GaleraHub through proof of address or an on-site check. It is granted by our team, not self-declared.

Confirmed businessVisited in person

What it means

Our team visited the premises and confirmed the business operates as listed — the strongest signal for hotels, restaurants and shops.

How it is earned

Awarded by GaleraHub after an on-site visit. You cannot request it directly; we reach out or visit businesses as we grow coverage.

DOT AccreditedFor hotels & resorts

What it means

The hotel or resort holds Department of Tourism accreditation — a national standard for accommodation quality and safety.

How it is earned

Only GaleraHub can set this badge, after confirming a valid DOT accreditation from the property’s management dashboard. Hotels cannot self-assign it.

Featured / Top pickPromoted placement

What it means

A listing the seller has boosted to appear higher in its category ("Top pick" at the very top, "Featured" elsewhere). It is a promotion, not a trust rating.

How it is earned

Boost a listing from your dashboard. It raises visibility for a set period; it does not change a seller’s verification status.

Sellers who don’t complete verification keep the Unverified badge, and their listings are deprioritized in search and browsing — verified sellers always appear first. Verifying is free and takes a couple of minutes.

What happens if I don’t verify my seller account?

Your listings carry an "Unverified" badge and are deprioritized in search and browsing — verified sellers rank above you. You can still list, but you will get fewer views and enquiries until you verify.

How do I get the Verified seller badge?

From your seller dashboard, complete identity verification by uploading a valid government ID and a selfie. Once approved, the badge shows on your profile and all your listings.

Can I pay for the Trusted local badge?

No. Trusted local is the hardest badge and cannot be bought or requested. GaleraHub grants it only to sellers with a proven track record of fair, honest deals and a strong reputation in the Puerto Galera community.

Is "Top pick" a trust badge?

No. Top pick simply means a listing has been boosted for extra visibility. It does not reflect a seller’s verification or reputation.
